Description of Old Dutch 9-Inch Pedestal Colander, Copper

Decorative and functional. Makes a handsome centerpiece as easily as it drains a pot of pasta. Copper-plated Stainless Steel clear tarnish-resistant finish (must be removed for food use instructions included).
Beautiful enough to hold fruit on the counter or serve as a centerpiece on a dining room table, this 9-inch copper pedestal colander is lined with nickel and adorned with traditional brass handles. While it can be used for draining lettuce, berries, spinach, or other food, copperware this attractive is often used purely for decoration so it comes with a protective coating that prevents tarnishing. If the colander is used for food, the coating must be stripped off with any common lacquer remover. --Fred Brack
