Bought them for less tha $30.00 good deal! Nice on the outside. But plastic on the inside. All in all I`m happy with the purchase!
Description of Old Dutch International Gemini Canisters, Set of 4
Old Dutch International Gemini Canisters Set of 4, 4 Quart, 2 Quart, 1½ Quart, 1 QuartSleek, simply designed, and made of ever-fashionable copper, the four canisters in this set complement a modern kitchen. Bright copper forms most of the exterior and flat lid, while each base and riveted handle is made of brushed stainless steel. A plastic lining inside the lids creates a snug, virtually air-tight interior which is lined with nickel, providing safe storage for flour, sugar, coffee, tea, cookies, and more. The set includes a four-, two-, one-and-one-half-, and one-quart canister. With lids on, the largest measures 8-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter; the smallest, 5-3/4 inches tall, 4-1/4 inches in diameter.
A substantial weight to the canisters gives the set a solid quality that is not in the least flimsy. Though the canisters are lacquered to prevent the finish from tarnishing, the lacquer doesn't need to be removed before use the way it does on cookware. Care of the copper set is simple: the canisters should be washed by hand in warm, sudsy water and wiped dry. Harsh pads or cleansers that can scratch the finish should be avoided.
